Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This page explains which cookies and similar technologies scontino.com uses, what they are for and how you can control them. The processing of personal data that follows is described in the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a site saves on your device to remember something from one page to the next. Some keep the site working, some measure visits, others show targeted advertising. The same rules apply to equivalent technologies, such as the browser local storage.
2. Which cookies we use
One cookie is always there: the one that remembers your choice in the banner. A second one arrives only if you accept session recording.
The public website language follows the page URL and language selector. We no longer set a cookie to remember it.
- scontino_consent: necessary. It remembers what you chose in the banner, so we do not ask you on every page. It lasts 6 months.
- cyi_replay: only if you accept session recording. It holds a random code that ties together the steps of the same visit, and it is also kept in the browser’s session storage. It disappears when you close the browser or withdraw your consent.
- A scontino_locale cookie saved by an earlier version is not used to redirect you.
3. Statistics and session recording
If you accept them in the banner, we use CloseYourIt, our own monitoring service on servers in Germany, for two separate things. You can accept just one.
- Statistics: pages viewed, referring page and loading times. They use no cookies: visitors are counted with an anonymous code that changes every day. We keep them for 12 months.
- Session recording: a replay of clicks, scrolling and movements on the page, to see where the site gets stuck. Texts and fields are masked already in your browser. Recordings are deleted after 30 days.
The sign-in and sign-up pages are never measured or recorded. We always collect technical errors, without cookies and without personal data. The details are in the Privacy policy.
4. Cookies we do not use
We do not use profiling or advertising cookies and we do not share data with ad networks. There are no social buttons tracking your visit: the Instagram link in the footer is a plain link and loads nothing from third parties.
5. Third-party services the pages connect to
Even without cookies, some pages connect to external servers. It is worth knowing:
- Fonts are hosted on this website; loading them does not contact Google Fonts.
- app.scontino.com: the application where you log in and manage your channels uses its own cookies, needed to keep you signed in. They are described in the application privacy notice.
- Amazon, AliExpress and Telegram: when you open a deal or a channel you leave our site. From that point on, the cookies and policies of those services apply.
6. How to change your choice
You can change your mind at any time with the “Change preferences” button at the bottom of this page. Statistics and recording are switched on and off separately. If you switch them off, collection stops at once and the cyi_replay cookie is deleted.
You can also delete cookies in your browser settings: on your next visit the banner asks you again what you prefer.
- Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies.
- Safari: Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions.
7. Controller and contacts
The data controller is Bussolari Alessio, Via del Prete 121, 47841 Cattolica (RN), Italia, VAT no. 02037590383. For questions about this page write to hello@scontino.com.
8. Updates
If we add other measurement tools or third-party cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent before turning them on.
